
Ride on Roller
This course provides instruction in the correct operation of the ride on roller for operating safely of these construction compaction machines.
We provide training as referred to in the laws relating to work equipment and health and safety we are accredited to CPCS. NPORS. ITSSAR and Lantra awarding bodies.
Course content.
Role and responsibilities as a plant operator
Basic components construction controls and rolling and compaction duties
Hazards underground and overhead services
Compacting in straight lines radii supported and un-supported edges
Principles requirements and techniques of good compaction and consolidation
Shut down and securing procedures after usage
Loading and un-loading on and off trailers/vehicle beds
Completion of course.
You will undertake a theory test. This maybe a verbal or written test depending on the awarding body accreditation you choose to undertake.
A practical assessment on both maintenance pre start/shutdown checks.
Successful candidates will receive a certificate for the chosen awarding body.
You can undertake a NVQ qualification at the same time and work towards a CPCS Blue card.
Prerequisites
You must have a basic understanding and knowledge of the current health and safety issues prior to this course.
We can provide a touch screen CSCS HE&S at our training centre if required.
